I prefer Shutterstock over Getty images currently because Shutterstock has a lower threshold you need to meet to get paid. With Getty Images, you need to earn a minimum of $100.00 before you can get paid while with Shutterstock the minimum is $25.00.

Shoot high-quality images. The quality of your images is the most important factor in whether or not they will sell. Make sure your images are well-lit, in focus, and have interesting composition.
